While I'd like to believe that this will improve the new games as they state, you know its all just going to be extra bonus money for the bigtime execs.  Oh well, I've been done with BF for a long time anyways.  I might pop it in once just to get one last feel for it, but this game has been dead and burried for a long time now.

It's been dead for years for me.  SWBF2 was unplayable because the only servers running used expansion packs, and I was one of many who could not get the expansions to download to an Xbox 360.

I tried to continue playing SWBF 1 (My favorite of the bunch, btw) but I've been banned from the last few running servers.  Apparently, they did not approve of me sniping them out from behind their power droids as they spawn camped with recon droids.

Come on dude... you wouldnt pay the few dollars to get the expansion on such a memorable game?  There have always been quite a decent group of people who still play it... and then you wouldnt have to deal with all the potty mouths on friday nights lol.

I did! They refunded it because I still couldn't get the expansion to take.  Trust me, I did everything I could find on forums, even talked to Xbox Live and a few LucasArts customer service people.  The problem stems from a combo of things.  One of them, the fact that several Xbox 360 owners can't download original Xbox DLC for a strange reason.  Mine, I'm told, has to do with the fact that I've gone through so many Xbox consoles due to RROD.  I have too many Xbox consoles registered to me, and it flags me as a potential software pirate when I try certain downloads.  That is what is also being blamed for why I have to disconnect from Xbox Live in order to use "User Generated Content" like HALO video clips and Forge maps.

I know exactly what you're talking about.  I think everybody who tried to DL them to the 360 has had that problem multiple times.  Finally my 360 recognized it and got it to work.  But it was a pain in the butt.

I never really cared for battlefront. Only reason I played it back in the day was because it was the only game anyone played. Soo I really don't care.

i think its more like no more battle front, halo 2, splinter cells, doom 3, far cry (unless you have the 360 one), counter strike, rainbow sixs, and battlefield 2. aka the most popular games. i was reading that the reason why we couldnt have 100 friends was cus of halo 2... maybe we will have bigger friends list soon

Both battlefront games had a major flaw I never liked: the unbalanced gameplay. In both games, there were things that dominated almost everything (damn Darkys).

In a couple hours my internet is gonna go out for a couple days. There's no need to go into detail, and I'm pretty sure most of you battlefront veterans know where I'm going with this. What I have said is my opinion of the game.

Omg, first they dont come out with a new battlefront because the creators go out of business, THEN THEY CREATE NEW BATTLEFRONTS ON THE DAMN PSP (Like anyone will play that for hours and hours) AND NOW they take away us from even playing the original =(

I always thought the game was perfectly balanced.  Rocket class beats everything, unless you got really good with officers, Wookiees, Rebel pilots, smugglers,  or Dark Troopers.  When all else fails, jump in a walker/tank/ X-wing/ or turret and massacre everyone.  You either wh*red something or you whined about being wh*red.

It truly was the game that separated the  players and whiners.

Shotty beat everything. Sadly the 360 ruined that for me. Totally. Not even close to the same..
