the whole leaping mechanic threw me for a loop. idk what i can compare dit to that you guys would know but its like super jumping in the Matrix Online.

Was playin the MP demo on XBL today. Most satisfyingg moment was ggettin jumped by two aliens, killin them, runnin into a predator, shotgunning him then finding a minigun and destroying anyone that came near me. Till i ran out and got mauled by aliens.

Overall it's not too bad, the Alien is tough to use when you are trying to attack from the ceiling.  The Predator is tough, but I only found 2 weapons so far the javelin and the disc.  Free for all on multiplayer will get old quick, hopefully they have some other good game modes, I'm definately going to give a run through, well see if I end up keeping it.

i actually liked the predator... maybe i was in a match with noobs just like myself but i was recking people with him...  his vision helps the most...  i kept cycling between heat sensor and the alien sensor vision and kept to myself in a corner and just waited for a victom to come my way...  lol

the hard vs the soft hits is a little sh*tty...  the hard hit takes an extra 3 seconds to swing and the short jab takes like 5 hits to kill someone...  no not really more like 2-3 hits if you get them good...  the invisibility is great sitting still, moving you become slightly visible but once you start taking damage it is crap'ola for sure since it cuts in and out on ya...  only found a blade type weapon and couldn't figure out how to bring it out and use it...  lol

i think if they wanted it to be hand to hand they should have made it more elaborate and made it so you could do combos or something...  currently it felt like a classic arcade game or something....

I played as the Predator some more and his shoulder laser rocks.  He is definately the toughest to use and is more of an ambush character.  Killing from the ceiling is fun.

So I've had the game for a few days now, the campaigns are really good, but short though.  There are 3 campaigns, one for each class that are made up of 5 levels each.  Each campaign takes about 4 hours  to complete.  I only logged about 2 hours online and it's no bad for a shooter.  Each class has there strong points and weak points so it makes for interesting game play, there are also 5 or 6 different modes of onlilne play.  I still haven't decided whether to keep it, I sent back Modern Warfare 2 last week if that's any kind of guage for my taste, but I would say it's just as entertaining.

Think the sound effects are where it's at with this game.  They are straight out of the movies.  Played the first "chapter" of the marine game with the surround sound up and it was pretty cool.  The graphics, so so, but Like Sborman said, it's definitely entertaining / fun.

This games alright.  Like Muddy said the sound effects and overall feel of the game is just like the movies which is pretty cool.  Nobody on my friends list with the exception of Borman has it so if anyone wants to get together and play the whoard type mode let me know.

The first time I played the Alien in a public room was....well...interesting.  It's gonna take some getting used to the movements.  Predator was a blast to play though.  You really need to stick to each species strong points if you are going to get any kills.  I can see myself playing this a little more, especially in between SEAL seasons...

The hoard mode...intense.  It was just two of us the first time I played it and it was just crazy.  It's not really the aliens that are hard to kill, it's where to stand so that you are not in some of that damn acid....

I was this close to getting it yesterday.  I was debating PS3 or Xbox version, and started looking on the PS3 shelf.  Only new ones, as I expected.  I looked at the Xbox shelf - 5 copies used already.  Plus there was a customer at the counter bringing one in to trade in, and the clerk said "Yeah, going by our customers and from my friend at the North Myrtle Beach store, this game sucks.  We're getting a lot of these back."

I think I'll either wait for Gamefly, or wait till the supply of used hits critical mass and they drop in price.

Maybe it's me, or I think this is the only place on the web where people are actually saying they like the game.
